Saving is an essential foundation for building a steady and sustainable life. The habit of saving is often instilled in individuals from childhood by their families and schools to help them learn how to manage their future spending effectively.
Burapha University recognises the importance of saving and has implemented policies aligned with the Ministry of Education’s focus on creating a solid social foundation. The Faculty of Education at Burapha University, in collaboration with doctoral students and teachers from Sriracha School, conducted research to study and assess the saving behaviour of students at the school. The study drew upon the knowledge of the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Sustainable Development for Administrators, which is covered in the Educational Administration course.
The research outcomes demonstrated the development of a sustainable society by promoting students’ behaviour of self-reliance, a crucial life skill for managing income, managing finances effectively, and saving for higher education. This reduces the financial burden on parents and contributes to the growth of a sustainable society.
