The practical seminar and workshop "Expanding Perspectives, Shaping Businesses with MIND
On February 2nd, 2024, at Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus, the Faculty of Gems, in collaboration with the Chanthaburi Provincial Industry Office, organized a practical seminar and workshop “Expanding Perspectives, Shaping Businesses with MIND” under the project to promote and develop the potential of industries in the region for entrepreneurs in Chanthaburi province. The event had participation from various industries such as gems and jewelry, food processing and confectionery from agricultural products, herbal medicine and pharmaceutical processing businesses, tourism, fertilizer business, food and beverage industry, and many others. The aim of this event is to utilize knowledge for the enhancement of entrepreneurs’ products, the creation of opportunities and distribution channels, and the design of packaging and product logos. Mr. Issara Chupakdee, the keynote speaker and owner of the KORKOK brand, will address the audience on the topic “Think Differently, Dare to Innovate,” with the intention of inspiring participants. Moreover, presentations on “Design Without Secrets” will be delivered by Dr. Dawan Madlee and Ms. Pananya Tribootara, faculty members of the Jewelry Design Department within the Faculty of Gems, providing insights into logo and packaging design concepts and theories. Additionally, the workshop activity “Business Matching” will encourage collaboration among entrepreneurs, faculty members, and students of the Faculty of Gems, as they apply their design expertise to develop logos and packaging for entrepreneurs.
The outcomes of this event have provided entrepreneurs with ideas and concepts for improving their existing products, as well as developing the design of logos and packaging to make them more appealing and eye-catching, thus attracting more consumers. This has directly impacted the community’s economy by generating employment opportunities and income from locally available resources, strengthening the community, and enabling sustainable self-reliance.
