Drone Photography Training for Tourism Promotion

The Faculty of Science and Arts has organized a training workshop on drone photography for tourism promotion under the Comprehensive Gastronomy Tourism @ Chanthaburi project. The workshop will take place from Tuesday, November 28, to Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus.
The organization of this training workshop included publicizing the training program to drone users for photography and other interested parties. Those interested in participating were required to fill out an online registration form. A total of 25 people participated in the training workshop.

The implementation of this training project took place on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Asst. Prof. Vasin Yuvanatemiya, Ph.D., the head of the Comprehensive Gastronomy Tourism @ Chanthaburi project, welcomed the training participants, explained the origin of the project, and stated the objectives. These objectives include understanding the current trends in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for photography, ensuring their proper and safe use, and developing skills in using UAVs for photography.

The event featured activities such as a discussion on the use of UAVs for current photography work and their correct and safe usage, an in-depth look at using UAVs for storytelling in content creation, and a discussion on UAV techniques for still photography and filmmaking. Additionally, there was a practical training session using a simulator on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
The results of the training project showed that the participants gained accurate and safe knowledge of drone usage, also known as aviation safety. This was achieved by imparting practices and drone usage standards from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand to the participants. They also received practical training in photography and filmmaking techniques, which they can apply to their own work to create more attractive and engaging images.
Finally, the participants expressed high satisfaction with the project, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.9 out of 5.
