Celebrating Pride Month 2024 (BUUIC)

Every year, people worldwide celebrate Pride Month in June, and BUUIC is proud to join in the festivities! Embracing the spirit of inclusivity and respect for all, BUUIC wholeheartedly supports ‘SDG4 Quality Education, SDG5 Gender Equality and SDG10 Reducing inequalities and marks this important month with unwavering enthusiasm.

Burapha University International College organized this event on June 20, 2024. The event featured activities and prizes for Burapha University students to encourage their participation in the Pride Month celebration. The aim was to raise awareness about SDG 5 and SDG 10 among all Burapha University students and to promote awareness and understanding of gender equality in all its facets. Through various educational initiatives, we strive to enlighten our students about the importance of gender equality in areas such as labour markets, wage parity, and leadership roles. BUUIC’s commitment to nurturing a culture of inclusion and acceptance extends to fostering a deeper understanding of gender equality issues.

By empowering our students to embrace their identities and express themselves authentically, we aim to create an environment where they can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society. BUUIC encourages every individual to take pride in who they are and to stand tall in their uniqueness, as long as their actions are rooted in respect and kindness towards themselves and others.

In the true spirit of Pride, BUUIC has decorated its surroundings with vibrant rainbows, the iconic colours of the LGBTQ+ community, both inside and outside the building. This visual display is a powerful symbol of solidarity and a reminder of the diversity that enriches our community.
