Historical Network Project: A Step Toward Sustainable Development
On 20 March 2024, the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Burapha University, in partnership with the Department of History from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Srinakharinwirot University, launched the Historical Network for Sustainable Development project. This initiative aimed to foster academic exchange and deepen understanding of sustainable practices. During the event, students from both universities engaged in a series of enriching activities. They visited the Chalermprakiat Museum, explored the murals at Wat Ang Sila, and enjoyed a leisurely walk around Bangsaen Beach. An important highlight of the day was the crab release activity at the Crab Bank, where participants contributed to marine conservation efforts. The project also included a visit to the Marine Science Institute, where students gained insights into coastal ecosystems and sustainable environmental management. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 14—focused on conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas, and marine resources—the project underscored the importance of integrating historical and environmental education to promote sustainable development.
