Recently, the students at the Faculty of Political Science and Law at Burapha University participated in the Integrated Cooperation Program on Election Law and Technology-Related Crime, organized by the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization in collaboration with the Office of Rights Protection and Legal Aid and Enforcement, Chonburi Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, and the Chonburi Provincial Election Commission Office. The program took place on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, at the Kaew Jaojom Meeting Room, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization. The program’s primary objectives were to build resilience among the public to prevent them from becoming victims of technology-related crimes and to prepare them with knowledge regarding local election laws in Chonburi Province. The event was led by Mr. Touch Khanthaprasit, Acting Head of the Dean’s Office and 60 students. The program also aimed to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4: Quality Education – By educating students and the public about local election laws and the dangers of technology-related crimes. The program was expected to enhance the quality of education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – The focus on legal knowledge and crime prevention supported the goal of promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, ensuring access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels. SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – The collaboration between local government bodies, the legal office, and the university highlights the importance of partnerships in achieving the SDGs, particularly in fostering a just and informed society. By integrating these SDGs into the program’s objectives, the initiative not only addressed immediate legal and social concerns but also contributed to broader global sustainability efforts
