Burapha University recognizes the importance of managing and developing human resources, from the recruitment or selection process, administration, and welfare management to development and career advancement, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and public benefit. This is grounded in the principles of freedom, equality, and individual rights, in accordance with good governance.
Therefore, the university has implemented the “Burapha University Human Resource Management and Development Policy 2023” as a guideline for all departments, units, and staff within the university.
The key details are as follows:
1) All operations of Burapha University must respect human rights, equality, fairness, and the rules of co-existence, without discrimination. Respect must be given to differences in race, religion, beliefs, skin colour, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, and socioeconomic background.
2) Job advertisements for various positions must not use gender identity or sexual orientation as a criterion for qualifications or restrictions.
3) Employment, recruitment or selection, performance evaluation, career advancement, welfare provision, and benefits must be fair and equitable.
4) Gender equality must be promoted by granting equal rights and opportunities to women and children. All forms of discrimination against women and children must be rejected, and actions that constitute coercion, intimidation, or harassment, such as sexual harassment and exploitation of women and children, must be opposed. This includes collective efforts to protect the rights and freedoms of university staff with diverse gender identities.
