BUUIC Enhances Global Education and Cross-Cultural Understanding
with Intensive English Program for FPT University 2024

          From May 22 to June 11, 2024, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) hosted 52 freshmen students from FPT University’s Cantho Campus in Vietnam for an Intensive English Program, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program focused on advancing SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through comprehensive English language training and immersive cross-cultural experiences. SDG 4,8,16,17
          The program included rigorous English courses and activities to enhance global awareness and intercultural competence. Students participated in Buddhist meditation practices, explored key landmarks, and engaged in sightseeing around Eastern Thailand, contributing to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by fostering mutual understanding and respect among diverse cultures. The English program provided students with transferable credits to FPT University, supporting SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by offering academic opportunities that enhance students’ qualifications for future career prospects. 

          Additionally, the program successfully met the learning outcomes set by FPT University, reflecting a commitment to quality education and educational excellence. SDG 4: Quality Education Through this initiative, BUUIC supported students’ academic growth and promoted sustainable development and cross-cultural exchange, contributing to a more interconnected and understanding global community. SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals By integrating language education with cultural immersion, BUUIC reinforced its role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and preparing students for success in a globalized world.
