The 47th International Anatomy Association of Thailand Conference
In today’s rapidly advancing world of science and technology, the fields of human anatomy and anatomy in other living organisms have made significant progress. Anatomy is a foundational discipline for the development of medical and public health, serving as a core for health-related research essential to building a sustainable research society.
To ensure that educators and researchers in anatomy, cellular biology, and related fields remain current with scientific advancements, the Anatomy Association of Thailand (AAT), together with the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Burapha University, Faculty of Medicine and Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, Thammasat University, and the Faculty of Science, Rangsit University, co-organized the 47th Annual Anatomy Conference of Thailand in 2025.
The event offered a platform for researchers, scholars, scientists, doctors, educators, students, and interested parties to present research, innovations, and new knowledge. It also encouraged collaboration and knowledge-sharing in anatomy, cellular biology, and related fields to foster academic partnerships at both individual and institutional levels.
Project Objectives is,
1. To promote and support researchers in anatomy, cellular biology, and related fields in disseminating their research to an international standard.
2. To encourage knowledge and experience exchange among academics, scientists, doctors, educators, and students while fostering research collaboration and the continuous development of new knowledge.
3. To build academic relationships and collaborative networks across domestic and international institutions.
This project was implemented as follows,
- The opening ceremony was led by the Presidents and Deans of the co-hosting institutions: Burapha University, Rangsit University, Thammasat University, and Chulabhorn International College of Medicine.
- Presentation of the 2024 Young Anatomist Researcher Award
- Special keynote lectures, including:
- “Spatial Omics Analysis by Mass Microscopy for Drug Discovery in Psychiatric and Neurological Disorders” by Prof. Mitsutoshi Setou, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, Japan
- “Peroxiredoxin 3 Inhibits Breast Cancer Progression” by Prof. Bay Boon Huat, National University of Singapore
- Technical seminars on topics such as:
- Effective integration of 3D technologies into anatomy teaching
- Changing learning outcomes: Integrating digital anatomy and simulation into medical curricula
- Poster presentations and the 2025 AAT General Assembly
- Panel discussion on “Innovations in Anatomy Education”
- Academic paper presentations (held in “Saensuk Room 1”)
- Award ceremony for the best academic presentations
Approximately 200 participants, including faculty, doctors, researchers, scientists, and students from both domestic and international institutions, engaged in academic discussions and shared educational and teaching practices.
The event fostered collaboration in research and educational innovation, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in anatomy and cellular biology. It also enhanced participants’ teaching and research skills and strengthened inter-institutional partnerships, paving the way for future research and educational collaboration across the globe.
