HUSO IDOL 2022 "Phet Thao Thiam, Thao Than Lok (Rok)

The Student Club of the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Burapha University has become aware of the current trend of Beauty Privilege, which has gained significant attention and interest from a number of people. Recognizing these issues, the Student Club has made some adjustments to its activities to better align with the societal context. These changes include enhancing knowledge and changing from normal characteristics to talented individuals with intriguing personalities, regardless of gender. This is considered a progressive step towards abolition of Beauty Privilege and Beauty Standards in Thai society. Additionally, the project aims to provide knowledge to participating students on topics related to LGBTQ+ issues, gender diversity, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, and fostering good sexual well-being.

Consequently, the Student Club emphasizes the importance of equality and provides all students with opportunities to participate in activities as representatives of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in the HUSO IDOL 2022 project,

“Phet Thao Thiam, Thao Than Lok (Rok)”.  Moreover, these activities aim to provide students with knowledge and opportunities to express creative thinking, show their abilities, and establish relationships among students from different faculties. The project also helps to cultivate collaborative skills among students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and promote understanding among students from all academic years. It encourages students to develop a positive attitude towards gender diversity and sexual well-being, leading to peace, happiness, and better coexistence within society.
