Academic Service Project by Integrating Thai Traditional Medicine
for Mental Health Promotion

          Thai traditional medicine has been promoting, preventing, and maintaining the health of Thai people for a long time. It is characterized by holistic care, including physical, mental and social by diagnosis. Treatment, prevention, promotion with herbal medicine, including the process of performing procedures with Thai traditional medical methods.

     

          Mental Health for Thai Traditional Medicine Lecture-based teaching about the mental health of each age, active learning and project based learning by  practice critical thinking, and thinking creatively through group work practices, and integrate mental health knowledge with the science of Thai traditional medicine from various traditional Thai subjects related to mental health care.

          Therefore, an academic service project has been established by integrating Thai traditional medicine for mental health promotion for students to practice experience. Demonstrate the potential to integrate the knowledge learned from mental health courses for Thai traditional medicine and other Thai traditional medicine courses with mental health promotion care for the people and can continue to work in the next field.

           Objectives

           1) To disseminate, and broadcast Knowledge of Thai Traditional Medicine.

           2) To encourage participants to have better mental health and quality of life.

           3) To integrate academic services to society with teaching and learning, student activities, and preservation of Thai Arts and Culture

           Impacts

           – Participants had improved mental health and quality of life and were able to apply for care.

           – Self-mental health, family, and society appropriately, as evidenced by  a 70 percent increase in knowledge.
