BUU- the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) Project
The provision of healthcare services must align with Thailand 4.0 policy and holistic development encompassing the economy, society, and the environment. This has led Thailand to formulate a 20-year National Strategic Plan (2018-2037) for the development and enhancement of human resources in all dimensions and at all stages of life, enabling the population to be prepared in terms of physical, mental, and intellectual aspects, promoting well-rounded development and well-being. The urgent priorities to be pursued within the first 5 years (2018-2022) include the second issue, which is the improvement of the quality of life of the population to ensure equalization in various aspects.
Burapha University has collaborated with the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to implement the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) project, which is a fund designed to provide financial assistance to those in need to reduce educational disparities and enhance the quality and efficiency of education. Educational inequality is a significant barrier to the development of the Thai population, we have established a core mission, which is to enhance knowledge and systemically manage to promote educational equality among the Thai population.
Therefore, by promoting access to continuous education for students who have completed high school (Grade 12) or its equivalent, as well as for those who have vocational certificates (certificate level 3) and lack financial resources and opportunities, we can help reduce societal inequalities and empower these students to become a quality and capable population to serve society in the future.
Burapha University has collaborated with the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to implement the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) project, offering a certified nursing assistant program under the Faculty of Nursing. This project aims to produce and increase the number of nursing assistants to provide healthcare services to society, thus contributing to the improvement of the overall quality of life for the population, both indirectly and directly.
The results obtained from this project enable trainees to become nurse assistants, supporting themselves and their families as well as serving as medical personnel who can provide healthcare services to the general population, particularly those in the Special Economic Development Zone of the Eastern Region, to improve health and quality of life. The increased medical personnel also responds to the current societal needs.
Those who are selected to participate in this program must meet the qualifications specified and will receive support funding as detailed in the attached document.
