New Graduate Program: New Era Durian Technology and Production Management Course
The New Generation Durian Graduate Program, a curriculum in New Era Durian Technology and Production Management (October 22, 2022 – June 10, 2023), has received collaboration from the Thai Durian and Mangosteen Exporters Association, the Thai Durian Association, and the Research and Development Institute of Agriculture in Region 6, Chanthaburi Province. Together, they are working to develop farmers and durian entrepreneurs in three provinces: Chanthaburi, Rayong, and Trat.
The program aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and encourage the adoption of farming techniques that enhance productivity and production efficiency. It also seeks to assist farmers in adapting to agricultural systems capable of increasing yields and production. Additionally, the initiative aims to maintain environmental sustainability and strengthen resilience in facing climate change.
Aligned with Goal 2, upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to articulate the new era durian production technology. They will be equipped to plan, choose production management methods, diagnose and manage diseases and pests safely. Furthermore, they will be proficient in designing and utilizing modern agricultural technologies, including water management, climate conditions, and various applications, to ensure precision durian production.
This effort aims to ensure that durian production complies with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP) standards.
