Digital Skills Development for Communities and Society
Computer Center, Burapha University aims to develop digital skills for the community and society, enabling individuals or communities to adapt and learn in the new digital era. The Computer Office has consistently conducted hands-on training programs for various communities.
The First Project is a training project titled “Online Marketing with TikTok to Boost Community Product Sales” was organized by the Computer Center in collaboration with the Village Fund of Ban Huaithuan, Bansuan Sub-District, Mueang, Chonburi. The event took place on July 21, 2023.
This project aimed to provide knowledge and understanding to the fund members and the Bansuan community about using the TikTok application, creating exciting video content, and conducting online marketing using the TikTok application. Through this training, fund members can apply and further develop the knowledge gained to enhance the sales of community products.
The second project is an Online training program on the course “Using Generative AI Tools to Support Teaching and Learning Management,” held on August 21, 2023, by the Computer Center, Burapha University.
The aim is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of teachers, lecturers, and educational staff in utilizing Generative AI as a tool for work and teaching management. In this training session, participants learned about various Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Bard, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Canva, Speechify, Botnoi Voice, D-ID, and the limitations and precautions in using these technologies. Additionally, they acquired the ability to apply this technology in instructional design effectively.
and A knowledge-sharing project for the elderly, “Elderly Online with a Smile,” was organized by the Computer Center in collaboration with the Senior Citizens Club of Nong Samak Municipality and Nong Samak Municipality, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province. The event took place on September 15, 2023. This project aims to make the elderly aware of the risks associated with cyber activities, including various cyber threats. Additionally, the project provides information on preventive measures against potential dangers. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange and learn from their own experiences or stories, fostering collective learning. The project raises awareness and educates the elderly on protecting themselves from cyber threats.
