Burapha University International College Advances SDGs with Innovative Environmental Project
in Saensuk Municipality
On 15 February 2024, Assist. Prof. Dr. Krittipat Pitchayadejanant, Associate Dean in Administration and Organization Development at Burapha University International College, has been invited and taken the pivotal role as a lecturer, imparting knowledge from a cutting-edge research project focused on fostering the management and development of environmentally friendly products. The project, undertaken in collaboration with the Faculty of Geoinformatics, Fine Arts, Music, and Performing Arts, has introduced the Green Saensuk standard, aiming to elevate the well-being of the local community.
This visionary project has secured funding from the Research Sandbox of the Research and Innovation Management Office at Burapha University, emphasizing its commitment to advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs). A representative team of dedicated volunteers from the local community has been formed to collectively assess businesses and contribute to the project’s success.
The initiative has attracted considerable interest from both entrepreneurs and volunteers who are enthusiastic about participating in the joint assessment. The primary objective of the training is to heighten awareness of the environmental impact of the tourism industry and provide insights into maintaining the sustainability of Saensuk Municipality.
This forward-thinking collaboration between academia, volunteers, and local businesses underscores Burapha University International College’s dedication to making a positive impact on the community and advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
