Promotion Project for Medical Students onto the International Stage in the Country

Teaching management in the fields of medicine or health sciences always involves activities structured according to the professional standards framework (following the curriculum), as well as additional activities (extracurricular) to ensure that graduates meet international standards and are suitable for the changing global situation. However, some learning activities in the curriculum may not be equivalent to real-world experiences. Activities or projects have thus been organized by student associations, international medical students, or international organizations to enhance experiences in academic, professional, and research aspects, aiming to provide medical students with direct experiences. This is crucial in enhancing their abilities to perform medical duties effectively. Particularly, supporting medical students to gain experiences on international platforms will lead to their growth as competent and proficient global medical graduates.

Promotion Project for Medical Students onto the International Stage in the Country for the Fiscal Year 2024, is a significant initiative aimed at developing medical students’ opportunities to participate in international academic events. It involves promoting the organization to the international stage.

The project involves preparing students systematically in research skills, starting from October 1, 2023, until March 2024. This includes activities such as preparing research ethics certification applications, coordinating with health networks for data access, writing research articles, and ultimately participating in international academic conferences.

This conference, the International Medical Student Research Conference (IMRC) 2023, was held on December 9-10, 2023, for medical students. Students from Burapha University’s medical school won the first prize in the poster research category.
