BUU GEMS CAREERS DAY 2024
The BUU GEMS CAREERS DAY 2024 was organized by the Faculty of Gems on March 21, 2024, at room S606 in the 100th Anniversary Building of Somdet Phra Srinagarindra at Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus.
This event aimed to underscore the importance of workplace skills for students within the faculty, crucial for Lifelong Learning and vital for shaping future careers, jobs, and income opportunities. The occasion featured esteemed companies from Thailand’s gem and jewelry industry, engaging with both students and faculty members of the Faculty of Gems. Additionally, there were informative sessions via video conference covering various essential skills needed for the current jewelry and gem industry in Thailand.
This project had the participation of a total of 7 companies, including:
1. Premium Gold Yaowarat Co., Ltd.
2. Tungthanasin Co., Ltd.
3. Regal Jewelry Manufacture Co., Ltd.
4. ICA Gem Laboratories Co., Ltd.
5. NGG Enterprise Co., Ltd.
6. Master Siam Jewelry Co., Ltd.
7. Jintai Chituan (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
The Faculty of Gems offered a comprehensive overview of its programs and courses, encompassing short-term options, aimed at providing business owners with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of the gem and jewelry industry. Furthermore, the event served as a platform for fostering the exchange of ideas and addressing inquiries among business owners, students, and faculty members.
The outcomes of this project have allowed both students and faculty members of the Faculty of Gems to gain insights into the requirements of gem and jewelry business owners, encompassing personnel traits, qualifications, and diverse experiences within the contemporary gem and jewelry sector.
This preparation equips students for entry into the gem and jewelry workforce. Moreover, it offers an exceptional avenue for students in search of employment or internships to directly access information from business owners, facilitating their pursuit of job and internship opportunities. In addition, it fosters a network among the Faculty of Gems, Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus, and private sector entities, with the aim of enhancing workforce capabilities and efficiency to compete on an international scale within Thailand’s jewelry and gem industry.
