As mentioned, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences offers various health science disciplines. Therefore, the Faculty recognises the importance of disseminating information to students, parents, and the general public to provide an overview of each program through extracurricular activities. The “Specialty Open House 2024” project is designed to convey various knowledge and provide a clearer perspective for students interested in pursuing medical or health sciences. The event will feature research presentations by faculty and students, laboratory experiments, and real-life scenario demonstrations. The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences hopes that participating students will be inspired to study health sciences to help improve public health and that the general public will better understand how to care for their health.

This event aims to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of health sciences, raising awareness and interest in further studies in this field. This, in turn, aims to cultivate future healthcare professionals. Additionally, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences will promote its various programs, providing students with detailed information to help them align their academic interests with their passions.

The activities are structured into learning stations emphasising practical training for each program, with faculty and senior students serving as instructors.

Impacts of the Project

Students participating in the project gained increased knowledge about health sciences and the diverse programs offered by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. This newfound understanding can assist them in making informed decisions about their future studies. It helps students make the right choices, preventing them from wasting time by selecting a faculty or field that does not match their aptitudes. Additionally, the project helps the younger generation recognize the importance of health sciences.
