Sharing Happiness with the Orphanage Project 2024

The Community Pharmacy Practice Unit, Faculty of Pharmacy, Burapha University, places great importance on awareness of the underprivileged, especially orphans. The Faculty of Pharmacy has organized a project to contribute to social responsibility, promoting an equitable and inclusive society. The project, “Sharing Happiness with the Orphanage for the Year 2024,” serves as a mediator to collect and deliver essential items to children. This is done through soliciting support for materials and medical equipment, aids for disabled children, household medicines, nutritional supplements, and children’s medical supplies such as diapers, rubber gloves, cleaning agents, disinfectants, etc., which are then distributed to orphanages. Additionally, donations are collected through the Community Pharmacy Practice Unit to be given to the Lorenzo Orphanage. This orphanage cares for abandoned children infected with HIV from their mothers, both boys and girls aged between 18 months and 10 years, located in the central and eastern provinces at Moo 6, Wat Ban Klang Road, Kud Ngong Sub-district, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province.

This year’s project has 50 supporters and has been able to assist 41 orphans from the orphanage, with a total donation amounting to 28,500 Baht. The “Sharing Happiness with the Orphanage for the Year 2024” project aims to raise awareness among staff and those with faith in the cause to recognize the plight of underprivileged children. Providing necessary items can create a better environment, enhance the quality of life for children in orphanages, supply essential daily needs, support their basic living conditions, and ensure appropriate physical, intellectual, and emotional development.
