Smarter English Program 2024
at Khao Kheow Open Zoo
Currently, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Burapha University is implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as directed by the university to demonstrate its role in promoting sustainability in communities and society. Among the 17 SDGs, Goal 15: Life on Land is a significant objective. Understanding terrestrial ecosystems through real-world study will increase awareness and readiness to jointly protect and conserve both plant and animal life in these ecosystems.
Therefore, the Department of Western Languages has organized the Smarter English program. This initiative aims to allow English major students to study and understand the lives of protected wildlife in different ecosystems at Khao Kheow Open Zoo. Through group activities and presentations in English about wildlife and conservation strategies, the program contributes to sustainable development.
