Faculty of Political Science and Law: Faculty Exchange Program on Research, Graduate Studies, International Student Exchange, and Special Lectures (Universitas Negeri Manado, Indonesia)

Under the academic cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University, and Universitas Negeri Manado, Indonesia, this program took place between 30th July and 2nd August 2024 at the Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University. Six participants attended the event, including administrators, faculty members, and students from Universitas Negeri Manado, Indonesia.

The primary objective of this program was to exchange ideas and methodologies. The exchange of faculty members and students is expected to facilitate the adoption of new concepts and approaches in teaching and research and the enhancement of the diversity and modernity of Thailand’s education. Moreover, the intercultural experiences will allow students to engage with different cultures, thereby strengthening their social skills and understanding of cultural diversity. Students who have the opportunity to learn from other cultures will gain a broader perspective and better adaptability in diverse societal contexts.

The program aligns with the university’s strategic plan in various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including KPI B2: the number of inbound and outbound student exchanges relative to the total student population; KPI B3: the number of inbound and outbound faculty exchanges relative to the total faculty population; and KPI C8: the number of activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are presented in English on the university’s website.

Additionally, the program supports SDG Goal 16, which promotes respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, essential foundations of a just and peaceful society. Ensuring these rights will foster confidence and collaboration within the society. A special lecture titled “Digital Governance to Promote a Peaceful Society in Indonesia” will be conducted as part of this initiative.
