Social Development Volunteer Camp Project (BUU Sport Science Care)
The Faculty of Sport Science at Burapha University plays an essential role in human resource development through producing graduates, conducting research, providing academic services, and taking responsibility for society. In today’s society, higher education institutions are expected to play a vital role in fostering social development and creating societal change. They are not merely places for preparing individuals for the current and future job markets but are also responsible for producing graduates who are ethical, responsible, and capable of contributing to society and the nation effectively.
The Faculty of Sport Science has therefore initiated the 8th Social Development Volunteer Camp Project, “BUU Sport Science Care”, for the year 2024. This project aims to promote activities that benefit society, instill a sense of volunteerism and selflessness, and encourage students to engage in meaningful social contributions. Through real-life practice, students are able to integrate their knowledge and expertise in sports science to promote the health and well-being of youth and the general public. This is applied through academic services and activities aimed at developing schools and communities in underprivileged areas in Eastern Thailand, demonstrating the university’s commitment to University Social Responsibility (USR). The project also aims to enhance teaching and lifelong learning, improve the school environment, and develop the quality of life for students, providing them with educational opportunities, good health, and essential life skills. This inspires students to grow into responsible adults who contribute positively to the nation’s future.
